The Jamaica Diaspora Task Force Action Network (JDTAN) is collaborating with the Digicel Foundation on its 9th annual Run/Walk/Wheel 5k. It’s the very first time this event is virtual and open to the Diaspora!
In the past 9 years, the Digicel Jamaica Foundation has raised J$61.5M through the annual Run/Walk/Wheel 5k to support Special Needs communities.
We are happy to support the promotion of this important initiative, specifically geared towards the special needs and the other abled. The needs of this community are great. Our special needs and other abled community has gaps and challenges just as much as the abled community. Awareness and attention from Jamaicans in the Diaspora and at home are essential. Plus we get a chance to have fun, improve our fitness and health and give back to an important cause.
Instructions
- Register. The registration donation is $20 USD. The deadline to register is Sunday, October 25, 2020.
- Walk run or wheel between now and October 31st
- Use a fitness app like mapmywalk or fitnesspal to track your miles
- Submit your results by October 31st and share your walk on social media #digicelvirtual5k
- Final results & ranking will be posted online
